DIY Saturday: Christmas Advent Calendar

Can you believe tomorrow is December 1st!? We are super excited! Our Christmas shopping is just about done. Now I am just waiting for a quite night with my husband to put some Christmas music on, drink some hot chocolate or egg nog and get wrapping! Our tradition is to decorate the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so that is what we will be doing tomorrow! Last year we also did an activity advent calendar and had so much fun with it that we decided to put it on our lists of traditions. I finalized our activity list the other night. Some things are special to Utah, but I thought I would share it with you! I cut my envelopes out from my Silhouette Cameo and then print out each activity to put in each envelope, clothes pin them to a ribbon and viola! (I will add a picture tomorrow once it is hanging) I realize not everyone has a cutting machine... any craft store or scrapbook carries cute envelopes or you can pick up some cute scrapbook paper and make your own... here is a link to a tutorial for handmade envelopes:
